Ant & Carpenter Ant Specialists

The Spray Can Is Why the Ants Keep Winning

Hit odorous house ants with a repellent spray and the colony splits, one trail becomes three, in new spots. We identify the species first, then use slow baits and non-repellent perimeter products the workers carry home to the queen themselves.

  • Species ID before anything gets applied
  • Slow-acting baits that reach the queen
  • Non-repellent perimeter ants can’t detect
  • Carpenter ant nest tracing, not trail-chasing

Why the species decides everything

Carpenter ant tracing

Big black ants and piles of sawdust-like frass mean a nest in damp wood, often a satellite of a parent colony outside. We trace them at dusk, when they’re actually moving.

Bait over blast

A dab of gel in a cabinet crack beats fogging the kitchen. Less product in your house, and unlike a spray, it reaches the ants you never see.

A perimeter that transfers

Non-repellent treatment goes along the foundation. Ants walk through without noticing, groom each other, and pass it through the colony.

The Ankora guarantee

Ant work rewards patience, so we back it two ways: the species ID and inspection are free, and if the trail reappears after treatment, so do we. Covered re-treats don’t cost you anything.

Questions people ask before booking

That’s budding, repellent sprays fracture odorous house ant colonies into several new ones, which is why the problem spread. Heads up on our method too: baiting looks worse for the first week, because trails swell while workers ferry bait home. That part is the treatment working, not failing.

Size is a clue, workers run a quarter inch to a half inch, along with night activity and frass piles near window sills or deck posts. Pavement ants, by contrast, throw little dirt volcanoes out of driveway seams starting in June. The strongest indoor signal is winged swarmers in February or March, but honestly, we can’t confirm a wall nest without getting eyes on it.

For pavement and odorous house ants, one baiting cycle usually does it. Carpenter ants often need a follow-up, and here’s the limit worth knowing: if a leaky gutter or bad flashing keeps that wood wet, ants will keep trying it. We’ll show you exactly what needs repair, we just don’t do the carpentry.
