Hard on Insects. A Non-Event for Your Dog.
We practice IPM, figure out why the pest is there, fix that first, and use the smallest amount of product that still does the job. Baits go in cracks paws can’t reach, and you’ll know the exact re-entry time before we start. Usually it’s just until things dry.
- Baits placed where paws can’t reach
- Clear re-entry times, typically 30–60 minutes
- Aquariums covered and air pumps off first
- Exclusion and sanitation before any product
- Licensed, bonded & insured
- Free inspections
- Same-day service
- Re-service guarantee
- Eco-friendly methods
What pet-safe means in practice
Least product wins
A crack-and-crevice bait dot uses a fraction of what a baseboard spray does, and it works better anyway. Less in the house is the goal, not the compromise.
Fish and cats first
Pyrethroid products are rough on fish and risky for cats until fully dry, so tanks and cat households change what we choose and where it goes. Some rooms get non-chemical methods entirely.
Fix the cause
Half of pet-safe is not needing product at all: door sweeps, a moisture correction, sealed food storage. The safest treatment is the one we never have to make.
The Ankora guarantee
The free inspection is where we log every animal in the house, the dogs, the cat, the betta on the kitchen counter, and design around them. If a covered pest returns, the free re-treat follows the same pet rules as the first visit.
- Same-dayscheduling available
- $0re-service between visits
- 25+Twin Cities communities
- Freeinspections, always
Questions people ask before booking
Applied by the label and once everything’s dry, yes. The honest part is that no product is candy, the risk window is while surfaces are wet, so pets stay off treated baseboards and grass until they dry. Cats also metabolize certain compounds worse than dogs do, which genuinely changes what we’ll use around them.
Tanks get covered with the air pump off, and we avoid anything airborne in that room. Birds are the most sensitive animals in the house, full stop, bird rooms often get exclusion and traps only. Sometimes the right call is moving a cage to another room for a few hours, and we’d rather tell you that than work around it badly.
No, and this trips people up. Pyrethrin comes from chrysanthemum flowers and is still toxic to fish and cats; essential-oil products tend to need heavier, more frequent applications to work at all. We choose by target, placement, and dose, not by which label sounds gentler.
